Customer Reviews

I purchased this product and a Rheem RTGH-95DVP tankless water heater, sold by CPO Outlet on Amazon. Both arrived together and quickly, separately but well packaged. However, I was disappointed by the fact that the service valve was not a Rheem product as described on Amazon, but rather a Webstone product. That would not have bothered me had it had been advertised as "Rheem RTG20220 by Webstone", because then I could have made a more knowledgeable decision and saved some money. However, when I shopped, I saw both a Webstone valve and Rheem valve offered on Amazon. The Rheem valve was $17.06 more expensive, but believing it was better suited to the Rheem RTGH-95DVP, I ordered it. Nothing in the product description informed me that this was in fact simply a Webstone EXP E2 3/4 x IPS at a higher price, presumably because it was sold as a Rheem product. When it arrived it was not in a Rheem box and the brass castings and handles are marked Webstone, not Rheem. The only thing that links it to the Rheem product is a paper label pasted partially over the Webstone label on the end of the box. That paper label apparently is worth an additional $17.06.
When I brought that fact to CPO Outlet's attention I felt sure they would agree, apologize, and either refund the difference or pay to return the items so I could buy the less expensive, but identical item. I fell this is their obligation because they did not identify the manufacturer correctly. They will not. I would not purchase again from CPO Outlet.
The product appears well made. It just gravels me that the seller will not admit that this was not accurately described.
